Jason Narducy & Alison Chesley
Reunion Show
Celebrating the 30th anniversary of the Jason & Alison Woodshed album plus songs from their two Verbow albums
Jason Narducy and Alison Chesley met while both working at The Bean Counter on Central St in Evanston, IL in 1993. Jason had a solo show booked at Elbo Room and asked his co-worker/Northwestern music student to join him for 3-4 songs. They started playing often in the Chicagoland area under the name Jason & Alison (brilliant!) and quickly got a record deal with independent label Whitehouse Records. In September 1994, they released their debut album, Woodshed, and started to tour the US including a sold out show at LA’s McCabes Guitar Shop. In 1995, Jason & Alison opened for Bob Mould, Morphine, and Liz Phair, and had the attention of major labels. In 1996, they signed with Epic Records and released two albums under the band name Verbow; 1997’s Chronicles and 2000’s White Out.
